Why We Are Unique!
We mentor at-risk school age children and youth in Pulaski County. We establish long term, committed relationships with mentors and students. We provide the only source of abstinence training in the North Little Rock School District. We work both in school and after school environments. We work with children K-12 and beyond. Our Mission
To serve and equip school age children to bring strong faith, family and future in the inner-city, through one-to-one intentional relationships. Our Purpose
To provide ministry opportunity for Christians in our local churches who are willing to invest their lives in the lives of inner-city youth and adults through relationships. The focus of the relationship is to share the gospel and disciple believers, thereby affecting the inner-city community, the city, and the world. Step Volunteers are saying:
It was a real delight to see the children grow in the Lord. I rarely drove home after STEP when I wasn't filled with hope for these kids. -Rosie
One of life's pleasures is watching a child's eyes light up when learning a new concept or skill. The STEP Ministry enables me to see this happen on a continual basis, along with the thrill of seeing a child learn to walk with the Lord and find a new life. What a privilege. -Carole
Through the STEP Ministry, God has Blessed me beyond anything I ever imagined. He has given me two precious brothers who love Jesus. It has been a privilege to watch them grow and mature in the Lord over the years. We will be close friends for the rest of our lives and throughout eternity. -Ron
I came to be a blessing to a child and through my relationship I found I was a being blessed. -Glen
