STEP Ministries' Encourager Program began in 1986 as an in-school tutoring system for the children of Eastgate Terrace in North Little Rock.  The idea was to give these kids, who rarely graduated from high school, a stronger chance of completing their educations and making better lives for themselves. KIDS ACROSS AMERICA

On June 17th fifty-five kids and six adults boarded a bus to Golden, Missouri, to begin what would be for many a life-changing week at camp. Kids Across America is a Christian sports camp for at-risk youth that hosts groups of kids from all over the U.S. for an eight-day regimen of playing, praying and bonding with each other, with their counselors and with the Lord.
